I see where the Hon. Antonio Villaraigosa, mayor of Los Angeles, is suggesting a return to the confiscatory property taxes we had prior to 1978 when Prop. 13 was passed, and is willing to stand behind Gov. (Jerry) Brown to implement it. The target, of course, is real and personal property that cannot be hidden or moved out of state or offshore.
