Free speech can leave out racism

-A +A

It’s obvious that racism is alive and well in Placer County. Once again it raises its ugly head in the guise of anonymous notes left on cars (“Have the courage to sign your name,” Reader Input, Sept. 28).
But apparently this doesn’t disturb Steve Haverberg (“Why surprise at sticker reaction?,” Reader Input), or at least he doesn’t find it worth mentioning in his letter of Oct. 12.
He really misses the point entirely.
Free speech yes; racism no!
