Funerals are for grieving

It is very displeasing to me to learn via the California Legionnaire magazine that protest demonstrations are still happening at the funerals of our fallen heroes. The idea that while a grief-stricken parent, wife, brother, sister, or friend in order to pay final respects to their fallen loved one can be forced to suffer through some crackpot’s idea of a war protest is beyond reason. It made me very angry to read that during 2011 both houses of our legislature passed a bill to control this lurid practice only to receive a governor’s veto. There are a lot of crazies on our streets. Does this mean that the sickness is catching? William D. Welch, Auburn
