Last Thursday morning at 8:35 a.m., there was a large group of Canadian geese crossing Rocklin Road from the new library site to the Taco Bell side. All of the drivers were patiently waiting. Then a Rocklin Police officer on a motorcycle coming down Rocklin Road toward the direction of the police department started honking his horn at the group of geese. Frightened, the group of geese scattered and the officer sped on his way. This caused the traffic he left behind stopped on both sides of the road, thereby causing even more traffic to come to a halt so the geese could regroup and safely make their way across the road. Is this the kind of image our police department wants to portray? Pamela Franklin, Rocklin
