Re: GM reinstates Gold Rush Chevrolet (Journal, April 18). Good for the Chevy dealer. Good for Auburn. GM seems unable to break out of the sclerosis. According to the caption, it takes six weeks to restock 200 best-selling Chevrolets (“as early as June”) to a reinstated dealer. How sad. In 2010, competitive supply-chain management is: Almost any merchant is able to source, service, display and sell a full turn of merchandise in six weeks. It would be nice to see new Chevies on the lot before June. The idea is commerce is now more rapid, more competitive, more responsive. GM has not yet grasped this idea. John Miller, Newcastle
