Go out there and help people

While we were having fun on Sunday, did we think about the five people found in the canal (Journal, May 13)? They were homeless but they mattered. How we get so distracted by our amusements. Think, people! Five people lose their lives and what are we doing about it? PG&E is trying to do something now, but someone should have been doing something earlier, like helping these people. Our priorities are misguided. It’s no wonder this society is falling apart. If we helped each other (like we should) we wouldn’t have as many problems as we do. We’d rather spend our time in some activity than help a stranger. As long as we continue this selfish nature we will receive nothing good in return. We need to stop wasting our time and help a life.
