Gold Country Media named Steve Hollywood as its marketing director this week. Hollywood joined Gold Country Media in November 2010 and since then has successfully led the major accounts sales division of the company. In his new role, Hollywood will continue to lead major accounts but will also spearhead marketing efforts and provide leadership training for advertising representatives within the cluster. Hollywood will also work alongside the company’s interactive manager and other managers to grow digital sales revenues. “Since joining Gold Country Media in November 2010, Steve has done a terrific job in leading the major accounts sales division to strong revenue growth and we are confident that his talents will continue to shine in his newly expanded role within the cluster,” said Jim Easterly, Gold Country Media’s general manager. The cluster has a combined daily and weekly controlled circulation of its 11 newspapers and monthly products that reaches nearly 300,000 readers a week. Online, Gold Country Media websites tally 1.7 million page views a month. “No other area media have the reach or penetration in our markets than we do and we work hard every day for the privilege of serving both our advertisers and readers,” Hollywood said. Hollywood added that tailoring content to the needs of each community remains a high priority. “Our nine newspapers and website communities are each defined by the members of those communities and the information they need,” Hollywood said. “That’s the power of the neighborhoods we serve and the audiences we are able to deliver to our advertisers. Being able to connect our advertisers to these readers and website viewers is our primary responsibility.” Gold Country Media is owned by Brehm Communications, Inc. and includes 11 different publications in Placer and Sacramento County. Its print products include the Auburn Journal, Roseville Press Tribune, The Placer Herald, Lincoln News Messenger, Colfax Record, The Loomis News, Folsom and El Dorado Hills Telegraphs, Granite Bay View, Auburn Trader and Foothill Marketplace.
