GOP has turned anti-intellectual

I must respond to the inaccuracies of Dave Imgrund (Reader Input, Nov. 13) who states leaders don’t need to have the highest IQs to be successful leaders for our country. The reality is the GOP has gone to the extreme in seeking anti-intellectuals such as (George W.) Bush (who avoids reading books), (Sarah) Palin and (Michele) Bachmann (ignorant of American history), and (Herman) Cain (didn’t know China had nukes). Candidate intelligence seems to be a negative quality to GOP voters and anti-science is their goal as facts get in the way of their agenda. By the way, our economy boomed and debt was reduced under (Bill) Clinton who was a Rhodes Scholar and avid reader. Compare this to Bush whose conservative core values led our economy to tank.
