Craigslist should change the name to Craigs Scamlist.
I’m glad to see one of the scammers, William Lordier of Meadow Vista, was arrested on fraud changes (“Meadow Vista man arrested on Craigslist time-share scam charges,” Journal, June 21).
After hearing of some positive transactions I listed my beautiful old windup Victrola that I have owned for over 30 years on Craigslist along with the photos.
After three weeks I have received 15 replies, every one a scam that offers to pay with phony cashier’s checks even after saying “cash only.”
It seems that anything that is good ends up being taken over by thieves like Lordier. I’m off of the list for good.
