Harter, Bruins storm back to beat Whitney

Senior Lindsay Harter led Bear River back from a four-point halftime deficit and the Bruins knocked off Whitney 50-37 Thursday night in Rocklin.
Harter scored a career-high 22 points, including eight points during a key fourth-quarter surge as Bear River improved to 4-1 in the Pioneer Valley League. Riley Pearson had a big game with 11 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Kelsey Uno added seven for the Bruins, who outscored the Wildcats 20-8 in the fourth.

El Dorado 51, Placer 31 at Placerville — The Lady Hillmen hit just two of their first 17 shots and could not keep pace with the league-leading Cougars.
Kayla Reeves finished with 10 points to lead Placer (3-2), which trailed 25-12 at the half. The Lady Hillmen fought back to within seven points after a strong third quarter before El Dorado iced the game and improved to 5-0 in PVL play.
Kelsey Lardner scored seven for Placer while Bethany Feis and Marilyn Johnson added six apiece.
