It’s beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas here in Auburn. If you’re in need of some holiday cheer, consider getting your fill at any or all of these weekend festivities: Breakfasts with Santa Santa Claus is booked solid this weekend. He’s the guest of honor for at least two special breakfasts Saturday. Santa ditches his sleigh, opting instead to show up to the Boys & Girls Club of Auburn’s Breakfast with Santa by helicopter. The Boys & Girls Club breakfast will be held 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 2500 Bell Road in Auburn. Their merry meal kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and continues to noon Saturday, and will be held at the First Congregational Church of Auburn, 710 Auburn Ravine Road. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children and seniors. Buy tickets at the door, at or at the school. Breakfast with Santa is the preschool’s largest fundraiser. Call (530) 878-8394 for more information. Winter crafts The Placer Nature Center hosts a day of kid-friendly winter nature crafts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Boys and girls can make pinecone bird feeders, tin ornaments, lavender sachets and more. Crafts are free for Placer Nature Center members, or, for the general public, it’s $5 for adults. Holiday boutique Placer High School’s grad night committee hosts a Holiday Boutique Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the school cafeteria. Local vendors will be offering a wide variety of quality crafts. Placer High School is located at 275 Orange St. Songs of Peace Colla Voce holds two “Songs of Peace” holiday concerts in Auburn Sunday. The choral ensemble, under the direction of Janine Dexter, performs at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 1338 Lincoln Way. General admission tickets are $12. Tickets are $8 for seniors and students, and the concert is free for ages 17 and under. Sierra Gold Chorus presents “The Joy of Music” at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parkside Church of the Nazarene, 3885 Richardson Drive. Tickets at the door are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Also scheduled Saturday is a live performance by Golden Bough, bringing their Old World cheer to Music & More’s DeWitt Theatre, 11596 D Ave., for a 7 p.m. performance.
