Sharon Hamada Howard and Thomas Teal, both of Auburn, were married on Aug. 4, 2012 at Asilomar – A Refuge by the Sea – in Pacific Grove by Rev. Maggie Buck.
The bride was given in marriage by sons Ron and Darren Howard.
Sharon Hamada Howard, daughter of Richard Hamada of Loomis and Mabel Mayeda Hamada, attended Placer High School and graduated from Sierra College and University of San Francisco in 1998. She is currently employed as Municipal Advisory Council Secretary for Placer County Board of Supervisors.
Cdr. USN retired Thomas Teal graduated from U. S. Naval Academy - Annapolis, MD in 1960 and is currently working as an entrepreneur.
Dawn Adams of Auburn, CA served as matron of honor.
Jeanne Hamada of Long Beach served as bridesmaid.
Ryan Howard, grandson, and Jena Kay Howard, granddaughter, served as ring bearers.
Tom Hamada of Loomis served as best man.
“Braddah” Timmy Hunt performed music during the ceremony and Jon Dufour performed at the Auburn Reception.
Receptions were held at Pono Hawaiian Grille in Santa Cruz and Foothill Center for Spiritual Living in Auburn.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Pago Pago Islands and now live in Auburn.
