-A +A
There are all kinds of egg-celent Easter events planned this weekend around Auburn. Active 20-30 Easter egg hunt Active Auburn 20-30 Club No.19 once again hosts a community Easter egg hunt this weekend. It starts at noon Saturday at the upper field of the Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High St., Auburn. Danny Miller from the club said boys and girls 12 and under are welcome to participate, and that children will be divided into six age groups. An area for special-needs children will also be set up, Miller said. The hunt features some 4,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and certificates for personal pizzas from Round Table Pizza. A special egg good for a prize basket will be hidden in each age group’s area. The hunt is a rain-or-shine event. It’s over almost as soon as it starts, Miller said, so show up early. Another reason to get there early — the Easter Bunny will be on hand, hopping around and greeting visitors, starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
