Jobs before trees

A bio-science major at Sierra College led about 20 people in a protest to save almost 400 trees. The foreclosure of an 8.81-acre complex development means the bank can do whatever they please with the property. There are many people such as myself that need jobs. If 400 trees being cut down drastically affected the air we breathe, then I would support their cause. Our unemployment rate is rising as we speak. The trees need to go so jobs can come. I wouldn’t expect the jobs to be high-paying or anything more than $10 an hour. But it’s a job. These protesters are doing more harm than good. Larry Tolson, Rocklin
