The Sierra College football team erupted for 21 second-quarter points as it cruised past Redwoods College 40-6 for its 37th straight victory. The Wolverines piled up 469 yards of total offense behind Sierra quarterback Dave Johnson who was 24-of-34 for 407 yards and five touchdowns passes. Ryan Smith led the Wolverines in receiving with nine catches for 128 yards and three touchdowns catches. David Lowery had eight catches for 82 yards and scored one touchdown on an 11-yard run. Matt Watson had five catches for 100 yards and a 61-yard touchdown pass and Adari Weatherspoon, who rushed for 21 yards on 13 carries, had one score on a 13-yard pass from Johnson. Sierra's defense limited the Corsaires to just 305 yards of total offense and didn't score until the third quarter. The Wolverines were also 2-of-3 on fourth down conversions Sierra will now play host to Feather River College next Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
