The Auburn Journal will invite the public inside for a tour and meet-and-greet next week. A “Meet the Journal Newsroom” is scheduled for 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 at the newspaper’s Downtown Auburn office at 1030 High St. The Journal will provide coffee to attendees courtesy of Depoe Bay Coffee Co. The informal meeting is a chance for those interested to chat with Journal editorial staff, including Publisher Todd Frantz and Editor Jenifer Gee. Newsroom employees, including City/Multimedia Editor Andrew DiLuccia, Sports Editor Todd Mordhorst, Features Editor Krissi Khokhobashvili, and Reporters Gus Thomson and Sara Seyydin will also attend. The event is a chance for readers to ask questions and pitch story ideas in person and take a look at our office and press room. “We are always open to hearing from and meeting our readers,” said Editor Jenifer Gee. “This meet-and-greet is a way to get that message out there and encourage those who want to, to come inside and get to know the names and faces behind their local community newspaper.”
