I was pleased to hear that the Senate committee passed blocking public and private universities and employers from getting access to applicants? Facebook accounts onto legislation. During a previous job I had, employees were being fired for content on their Facebook accounts. I had to deactivate my account, so I had no chance of being, yet another, employee fired due to private information posted on my account. Your social life should be separate from work or school. I think intertwining the two is just as inappropriate as dating a co-worker. I understand that employers want to know more about future employees, but if an employer needs your Facebook information, they obviously aren?t interviewing applicants effectively.
