Lady Hillmen finish fourth at Coach ‘G’

A cold start doomed the Placer High girls basketball team Saturday at the Coach “G” Memorial tournament at Earl Crabbe Gym.
The Lady Hillmen fell behind 10-0 and could not recover, falling 55-48 to Rocklin.
Maddie Graham came off the bench to score 10 points to lead Placer. Junior Kerry McCullough scored nine and was named to the all-tournament team. Becky Feis scored eight points for Placer, which fell to 3-7 on the season.
The Lady Hillmen lost to Del Campo 60-53 on Friday.
Colfax 56, Whitney 46 at Loomis — Haley Biles, Haleigh Lis and Ashley Scott scored 12 points each as the Falcons finished off the Lady Eagle Invitational with a solid win in the consolation championship.
Colfax outscored Whitney 32-23 in the second half to break open a close game.
Bear River 61, Highlands 38 at Galt — The Bruins closed out the Liberty Ranch tournament with a big win over the Huskies.
Bear River outscored Highlands 37-17 in the second half to put the game away. The Bruins improved to 9-4 on the season.
