Law enforcement came through for Auburn’s Salvation Army during the annual Battle of the Badges. This year, the totals collected were more than $4,200 by the Placer County, $989 by the California Highway Patrol and $753 from the Auburn Police Department. As with most fundraising in the nation, totals were down, even for the Battle of the Badges. The Salvation Army thanks the officers and personnel from law enforcement for so generously spending the day raising funds for the needy homeless and less fortunate.
