The law lacks common sense

A child has died; the child’s father is in more pain than if he had a limb removed without anesthesia (Journal, April 22). He will sadly pay the price in his heart forever. He meant no harm. A child molester seeks out his victim – does his deed and has deeply hurt a child (Journal, April 29). If only there could be common sense applied to the law. And ask God to soothe the heartbreak of the childless father. KAY F. SHARP, Auburn
