At least Arnold came clean

After seeing all the media hype and letters castigating our former governor (Arnold Schwarzenegger) for failures in his personal and professional life, I’ve decided to weigh in on this. I do not believe in nor condone marital infidelity for anyone, rich and famous or not. However, I would like to point out to those who are condemning him so vehemently for his personal transgression, what he could have done rather than what he did do. He could have denied the whole thing or forced the woman to have an abortion, which I think has happened in more cases than one might think. In most of those cases, if the true facts ever come out, it is much later on. If he had done this, he could have possibly swept the whole thing under the rug, at least for a much longer period, if not forever. This doesn’t condone his infidelity, but at least he stepped up and took responsibility for his actions, which I think is better than many others involved in similar cases. As for his performance as governor, I don’t think he was the greatest, but neither was he a politician and I really don’t think he knew what he was up against in the state Legislature we have. I believe when he was elected, they were determined not to support him in anything he tried to do. California didn’t just need a new governor. It needs a new Legislature also!
