Lee, Durrell exchange vows

Mara Nicole Lee of Auburn and Jack Durrell of London, England were married on Aug. 7, 2010 by Sean Nammany, brother-in-law of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Gerry Lee. The bride graduated from Placer High School in 2000 and from University of California San Diego in 2004. She received her master’s degree in political science from the University of London, which is where the couple met. She is currently employed as communications director and legislative assistant in the Washington, D.C. office of Congresswoman Doris Matsui. The bride’s parents are Carol Lee and Gerry and Linda Lee, all of Auburn. The groom received master’s degrees in journalism and international development from the University of London. He is currently writing his thesis in international development as a PhD candidate at King’s College. His parents are Joe and Denise Durrell of London, England. John De Boateng of London, England served as best man. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters Kristin and Kathy Lee, as well as friends Katie Russell and Shawn Dunkley, all of Auburn. The groom’s sister Jessie Durrell of London was also a bridesmaid. The newlyweds honeymooned in Big Sur.
