There is a lesson for all of us related to Rick Perry’s gaffe at the Republican debate on Nov. 9. If a leader has conservative core values, then he/she doesn’t have to have the highest I.Q. to be successful for his state or the country. Just compare Texas (Perry in his third term as governor) to California, New York or the United States. Liberal leaders as governor or president of the United States will always fail because their principles are wrong for the financial long-term well-being of the respective state or our wonderful country. Please remember this when you vote in November 2012. DAVE IMGRUND, Auburn
