Last June, three of Lincoln’s girls were crowned at the Placer County Fair in Roseville. They finish their year of community service activities, fundraisers and appearances at the Placer County Fair, June 19 and 20, as they crown their successors. Ashley Gibian, 21, will crown the 2008 Miss Placer County at 8 p.m. on June 19 on Mahan Stage. A 2005 graduate of Lincoln High School, Gibian is finishing her junior year at Sacramento State University, majoring in communications with an emphasis in media studies. She will also host the Wee and Little Miss pageants on June 20 for the sixth time. Madeline Jackson, 10, of Lincoln, will give up her title as Little Miss Placer County and will also complete for Junior Miss Placer County. Jackson has had so much fun as a Queen that she has recruited her little sister to compete for Wee Miss this year. Also from Lincoln is the Junior Teen Placer County Queen, Carissa Lolmaugh, 14. Lolmaugh attends Lincoln High School and cheers for the Junior Varsity squad. Lolmaugh’s ambassadors, also from Lincoln, are Lauren Lagge and Marisa Trimble. If you would like your child to learn about community service work, if you’re a teen looking for college scholarships, or between the ages of 3 and 25 and just want to increase your confidence and experience in public speaking, go online at www.placercountyfair.org for more information on competing in scholarship pageants. Registration is due at orientation on May 1.
