Loose canines shouldn’t be

Yeah, I think dogs should be on a leash or constrained in some way. Over the years as I’ve collected roadside recyclables, I tend to sweat, rub up against “marked” brush or cut through a campsite and get wild brush or weed odors on myself … hey, even drippings from beer containers on my cuffs or shoes add to the odors. When I come upwind near any strange dog, leashed by the owner or not, they go bananas and the frantic yells from the owners don’t slow ’em down! I even saw a driver get out of a car (a dog owner) with dog hairs on the upholstery and sweater, lunged at by a dog with the yelling owner right behind. Who knows what turns on a loose canine?
