Make California votes matter

Once again, a tiny segment of the U.S. electorate has chosen the non-incumbent presidential candidate for us. When I saw today that John Huntsman dropped out of the race, and we’ve already lost (Michele) Bachmann, I again felt the anger I feel every election year. By the time California votes our primary, many of the candidates I like best are already out of the race. How stupid is it that two or three pipsqueak nothing states choose our candidate? Let’s move our primary up so we Californians have a real say in who runs for president. Norman Hinman, Auburn
