An Auburn man was arrested for allegedly stealing a family member’s bike and then selling it.
Cody Quinn Armtrout, 21, was booked into Placer County Jail on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Armtrout allegedly stole the bike from a home on Incline Drive in Auburn. Auburn Police officers determined he had stolen other items in addition to the bike and tried to sell them to at least two Auburn businesses.
Prior to taking Armtrout into custody, the arresting officer found that Armtrout was under the influence of and in possession of narcotics.
He remained in custody Friday held on $20,000 bail.
