The Auburn Police Department arrested 28-year-old Patrick Joseph Russo in Citrus Heights on Tuesday for making criminal threats, obstructing an officer and possession of a switchblade knife.
Through texts and voicemails to the victim, police said, Russo had been allegedly threatening to kill the victim and their children in common, as well as the victim’s boyfriend and children. Auburn police officers took a criminal report from the victim on Sunday and located Russo, who was suspected to be homeless in the Citrus Heights area, at about 9 a.m. Tuesday in his vehicle on the 8600 block of Antelope Road.
Russo obstructed the officers and was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife. He was then arrested and transported to Placer County Jail, where he is currently in custody on $100,000 bail. The investigation is ongoing.
