To the many people who cared so deeply

The response to our family regarding the death of Sean Needham was so extensive that we cannot write everyone a personal letter.
The Martins and Needhams appreciate your kind, loving and generous support during our time of loss. We thank Lou La Bontes, Bayside Church, Auburn Amputee Club and Ironworkers 118 Motorcycle Club for extremely generous donations of facility usage or money.
Many others have graciously given contributions, too numerous to mention names.
Sean’s death came as a surprise, as he was doing so well that he would have been coming home in about a week. He was looking forward to learning how to deal with his amputation, getting a job, and being able to raise his children.
Sean’s death won’t go without making a difference, as a benefit concert to raise awareness of the local epidemic which possibly started Sean’s illness is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at Pistol Pete’s (“‘Not Even Once’ benefit warns of drug dangers, pays tribute to Sean Needham,” Journal, Aug. 26), who has donated the entire club for the event!
Three bands: Irrelevant, Geranimo and Skin of Saints, are donating their time. Friends are putting a lot of work into this, local businesses are donating raffle prizes, and artists Debbie Pollard and Myles McCartin are donating one of their paintings for an auction.
All of the family members and friends are going to miss Sean’s infectious smile and joking nature. He touched so many people with his big heart!
God bless you,
Rhonnie and Chris Martin and the Needham Family, Foresthill
