(530) 823-1816 or St. Joseph Catholic Church This Week: A “Special” Silent Auction While doing maintenance on the roof of St. Joseph Church, Kevin Letcher, found a necklace wedged on the top of a window. He climbed a ladder and using a wire was able to dislodge the piece of jewelry. Letcher gave the necklace to the St. Joseph Thrift Store. It was taken to OZ Jewelry in Old Town Auburn for evaluation by Catherine Rowe. Catherine cleaned the piece and after research found that the piece was an excellent copy of a “turn of the century” necklace. It is made of brass and copper with a genuine amethyst stone at its center and 2 fire cut purple glass beads at each end. The Thrift Store will hold a silent auction during the month of March. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The necklace can be viewed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parochial Administrator: Fr.
