In 1910 my great-grandfather, O. F. Seavey, was elected the first auditor of Placer County and served until his death in 1915. Now, 100 years later, an outstanding public servant is running for re-election to that same post. Katherine Martinis has set a high standard for professionalism and ethics as our auditor-controller since her initial appointment by the board of supervisors. She has received numerous awards for her integrity and the establishment of high professional standards.
