May your woes be only gravel

Thank you, Brad Kearns, for your letter in the Sept. 22 issue of the Journal regarding the gravel road grumblers, (Journal, Sept. 21). I was very surprised that such a story would be published, let alone on the first page. It is incredible to me that people don’t have more important things to worry about or do than grumble about some gravel on their road. It’s not a devastating flood or fire we’re talking about people, it’s gravel! Talk to any of the people who lost their homes in the 49 Fire and compare your misery to theirs. I, too, live on a road that was graveled last week. It’s a little dusty (the rain is coming soon) and noisy. So what? Get over it. Lindsay Rand, Auburn
