An open letter concerning the labeling of Genetically Modified Organisms: Dear Congressman (Tom) McClintock: I am very disappointed that you have not signed on to ask the FDA to label genetically engineered foods! Why not? This is an important health issue for all Californians and Americans. We have the right to know what is in the food we purchase and eat. Unless you don’t care, you must sign the letter to the FDA along with Senators (Dianne) Feinstein and (Barbara) Boxer, Representatives Anna Eshoo, Pete Stark, Howard L. Berman, Bob Filner, Janice Hahn, Michael Honda, Barbara Lee, Zoe Lofgren, Jackie Speier, Lynn Woolsey, Maxine Waters and Grace Napolitano. I have chosen to share this communication because I already know that I will receive a standard form letter reply in my email from you, one which will neither address the specific subject nor answer my question.
