I applaud Jennifer Montgomery for her integrity and reliability in representing the interests of her constituency — what a concept (Journal, Jan. 26! Are elected officials supposed to carry out policies that are in conflict with the concerns of their district? I don’t think so. When I vote for a representative I expect that official will be interested in what’s going on in my district, not further policies that might harm my district or the people who live there. Montgomery is doing what an ethical, responsible and thoughtful representative should do. Back off, Mr. (Kirk) Uhler. Perhaps you should learn something from Ms. Montgomery’s wisdom. Montgomery must be returned to her position on the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency governing board. Theres Cote, Colfax
