So many people fail to consider that the greatest impact on our lives is caused by the actions of the City Council and the Board of Supervisors. There have always been more women than men in our society, and yet we continue to elect more men than women to govern our communities. We need qualified men and women to serve in order to provide a balance of thought. Harriett White was an excellent supervisor. She was willing and able to offer a different point of view during board discussions. The same is true for Jennifer Montgomery. She listens and acts for the benefit of the community; that is why people are willing to give her money to run for re-election. I am sure that the Johnson boys are fine young men but we really need that "other point of view" made by a qualified woman, Jennifer Montgomery. NORMA WAGNER, Auburn
