A young lady who identified herself as a reporter from the L.A. Times approached me in front of my shop. She told me that she was here to do a story about the economic condition in Lincoln, since at one time, we were the fastest-growing community in the nation. She made no mention whatsoever of any specific neighborhood in our city. I told her that I felt the economy in Lincoln was on the upswing, and that several new businesses had come to town, that some were expanding. I also told her that people’s attitudes have changed over the past few years, to a more positive and upbeat one. The economy in Lincoln is improving and all of our citizens are welcome.
