Teryn Rath and Sarah Hagar both scored 14 points to help top-seeded Bear River run away with a 63-31 victory over No. 16 Hilmar Tuesday night in a Sac-Joaquin Section Div. IV playoff opener at Lake of the Pines.

Kaityln Reina added 13 points and Savannah Welz chipped in with 12 for the Lady Bruins (24-3), who will host No. 9 Dixon Thursday night at 7 p.m.

Dixon (19-8) beat No. 8 Sonora 60-43 Tuesday.

Bear River led 20-3 after the first quarter, and 37-13 by halftime.

Savannah Gemperle had 12 points for Hilmar (18-9), while her sister, Oliviah, added nine.
