What’s happening and what we’re working on
-A +A

Welcome to the Auburn Journal’s “Noon Hour Update,” where we’ll present you with stories and updates on what’s going on in the news and what we’re working on for our Tuesday edition.

What we’re working on: The proposed reopening of the Auburn Quarry for climbers has hit a possible snag. Reporter Amber Marra looks into what the possible hang-up might be. Amber is also reporting on allegations that some political signs are being taken.

Reporter Gus Thomson is working on a story about a Colfax man who came at a Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy with a knife and was shot.

More talk of food trucks in the city is scheduled for Monday night’s Auburn City Council meeting. Reporter Jon Schultz will have a report on any action taken.

What you’re talking about: The last story in our series on mobile businesses has readers still weighing in on the topic. Another story receiving reader input is one about a Grass Valley business being implicated in a Ponzi scheme. Read these stories and more and share your opinions.
