What we’re working on:  Business owners out at the Auburn Airport industrial complex say they are having a crime problem that may be in part to a growth in homeless in the area. The business owners held a meeting with local law enforcement Wednesday to talk about their concerns. Reporter Gus Thomson is following up on that meeting and talking to those involved and getting their thoughts on the situation. Also look for this week’s installment of Media Life by Gus.

The City of Auburn has received a federal grant for its shaded fuel break. Reporter Jon Schultz will report on how this will help the project. Jon will also have an update on where progress stands in the implementation of a regional sewer system.

Sports Editor Matthew Kimel will be out at Placer High School covering the opening round of the Coach ‘G’ Memorial girls basketball tournament at Earl Crabbe Gym.
