What’s happening and what we’re working on
-A +A

Welcome to the Auburn Journal’s “Noon Hour Update,” where we’ll present you with stories and updates on what’s going on in the news and what we’re working on for our Wednesday edition.

What we’re working on:  Since park fees were increased in the Auburn State Recreation Area  in 2012, how much money has been raised so far? Reporter Jon Schultz is looking into that and will have a report on the revenue coming in and what it’s being spent on. Jon is also focusing in on some Sierra College students who are headed to President Barack Obama’s inauguration.

Are you an adult looking to improve yourself? The Placer School for Adults has recently issued its 2013 spring catalog. Reporter Andrew Westrope talks with school staff about the new catalog and what the popular classes are.

What you’re talking about: Our pair of stories from Monday’s night’s Auburn City Council have online readers sharing their thoughts. Read “Auburn City Council bans food trucks around Placer High” and “Smoking ban looms at Auburn School Park Preserve” and share your thoughts.
