Welcome to the Auburn Journal’s “Noon Hour Update,” where we’ll present you with stories and updates on what’s going on in the news and what we’re working on for our Wednesday edition.

What we’re working on: The Placer County Board of Supervisors are meeting today in Auburn. Reporter Gus Thomson is at the meeting and he will have a report on some of the key agenda items discussed today.

The issue of medical needs for the homeless here in the county is being addressed in the form of a new health clinic. Reporter Jon Schultz is working on a story about the details of establishing the clinic here in the area.

Still trying to figure out what you’re going to do for Mother’s Day this year? Look in Food & Wine Wednesday to read about dining options for your special lady.

What you’re talking about: Several of our stories today have readers commenting. Some of our most talked about pieces so far include our story on homeless shelters here in the Auburn area and our coverage of the state Supreme Court upholding local pot shop bans.
