Welcome to the Auburn Journal's "Noon Hour Update," where we'll present you with stories and updates on what's going on in the news and what we're working on for the next day's paper.

What we're working on: The Occupy movement continues to roll on here in Auburn as the Placer 99% group is planning a rally from 2 to 6 p.m., Thursday, March 1 at the Auburn Clock Tower, including a march to the Auburn Courthouse at 5 p.m. Reporter Gus Thomson will have a story on the movement's upcoming rally for auburnjournal.com and Thursday's paper.
Former Colfax High School snowboard coach and teacher Belden "Jack" Morgan appeared in court today on felony charges of alleged continual sexual abuse. Reporter Sara Seyydin will have an update on what happened and what's next for tomorrow's edition and auburnjournal.com

What you're talking about: Our stories in today's paper and online about the Placer County District Attorney's office not allowing the Journal access to sex crime statistics and two men arrested for stealing gold dust have readers commenting.
