A fundraiser for the Placer High School snowboard team is being held Wednesday at Old Town Pizza in Auburn.

A similar event last year, sponsored by Academy Snowboard Co. and Boards N Motion, raised nearly $1,000. 

This year’s rendition, with 15 percent of food and beverages sales at the 150 Sacramento St. pizza joint from 5 to 9 p.m. being donated toward the Hillmen, is expected to raise similar figures, said Jeff Baughn of Board N Motion. 

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to win snowboards, lift tickets courtesy of Boreal and Sugar Bowl, and other free prizes.

A video premiere of Bald E-Gal’s “E-Gal Eye” will also be shown.
