Steve Galyardt joined Citizens Bank in Auburn on March 7 as vice president and business banking officer. “I interact with businesses and consumers in providing deposit and loan services to our community,” he said. “I’m also a community outreach spokesman, working with nonprofits, service clubs and our community at large.” A long-time advocate for small business and personal banking, Galyardt has 34 years in the banking industry and has been in Auburn since 2000. He most recently was with Community 1st Bank. His extensive community involvement includes president of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce in 2007. He is currently president of the Sutter Auburn Faith Foundation, treasurer of the Auburn Symphony, chairman of the Tuesday Chamber Forum, chairman of the Festival of Lights Parade and long-time member of the Auburn Rotary Club. “This is a great town and I love doing business here,” he said. “It’s all about being a member of this community and I love being a part of it. Citizens Bank has the same values as I do and they believe in Auburn as much as I do.” Gary D. Gall, president and CEO of Citizens Bank, said that Galyardt has joined a team that understands Auburn. “His generous heart, professionalism and deep banking experience make him a great community banker. And that is what Citizens Bank is all about — community banking,” Gall said.
