Placer County Sheriff's Office seeks help in Tahoe City burglary

In the early morning hours Tuesday unknown suspects broke into a shared construction yard in the 1400 block of River Road in Tahoe City.

The suspects allegedly forcibly entered numerous buildings and vehicles, stealing gas lawn mowers, gas-powered earth compactors, power hand tools, a chop saw, welders, 1-inch, 1.5-inch and 2-inch copper tubing rolls, hundreds of copper and brass fittings, and cash, according to a press release issued by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying any persons who as of July 10 possess large amounts of copper, cash and/or the above-mentioned tools.
