Placer High school year information packets must be picked up Monday

Because of budget constraints, Placer High School will not be mailing instructional material as in years past. Peter Efstathiu, Placer High School principal, said some information regarding schedules, sports physicals and freshmen orientation will be reported in the Auburn Journal and packets will be available for pickup at the school Monday. “Student schedules and other pertinent school information, such as the emergency card, will not be mailed home this year.” Efstathiu said. “This information will be available for pickup in the cafeteria on Monday.” On Aug. 10 at the following times, information packets will be available: Seniors — 8 to 10 a.m. Juniors — 10 a.m. to noon Sophomores — noon to 2 p.m. Freshmen — 2 to 4 p.m. Efstathiu asks students to please be aware that Monday is the only available day for schedule pickup. “Please make every effort to pick up your schedule on Monday,” he said Sports physicals will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the school library. Freshmen orientation will take place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, in the Earl Crabbe Gym. The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 18. — Julie Eng
