Placer JV baseball bangs out 12 hits in 12-5 win over Bruins

Twelve hits helped the Placer High School junior varsity baseball team earn a 12-5 win over visiting Bear River Wednesday.

Hillmen starting pitcher Jordan Wood rebounded from a four-run first and pitched a complete game, allowing just three hits. Wood struck out five Bruins and allowed just two earned runs.

Top hitters for Placer included Brigg Tucker (2 for 3, two stolen bases and a double), Wood (2 for 3), Luis Burrola (2 for 3 with a double) and Colton Ranck (2 for 2).

Wood received help in the field form shortstop Burrola and third baseman Nick Sassarini.
