Placer JV baseball team bashes Bruins, 14-4

Every Hillman gets a hit

Luis Burrola and Jordan Wood had huge days at the plate for the Hillmen.

The rest of the Placer junior varsity baseball also collected hits in a 14-4 bashing of the Bear River Bruins.

Wood, who pitched all five of the game’s innings, helped his own cause by going 2 for 3 with two triples. He gave up five hits and two earned runs on the mound.

Burrola was 3 for 4 on the day with a double, three RBI and a stolen base.

Pinch-hitter Jack Woods hit a walk-off single.

Also recording a hit for the Hillmen were Nick Sassarini, Christian Davis (double), Nick Lawicka, Colton Ranck, Gavin Oyer, Lane Bennet, Ryan Jenkins and Brig Tucker.
