Libero Eric Lawson had 16 digs and Wyatt Henson added 13 kills in the Hillmen’s 21-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13 road victory Thursday.

Tyler Linton, a 6-foot-7 middle hitter, made his debut as Placer improved to 7-6, 2-3 Capital Athletic League.

“Eric Lawson was absolutely all over the court,” Placer coach Andy Klem said. “Tyler was very helpful in his return. He’s a nice, big body in the middle of the court. It was nice to have him back.”

Placer is off until April 2 when the Hillmen head to Bear River for a 6 p.m. contest.
