Relief pitcher Jordan Wood worked four innings, struck out four batters and allowed just two hits in earning a win as the Placer High junior varsity baseball team scored a 9-7 come-from-behind over  host River City Tuesday.

The Hillmen (3-0-1) fell behind 7-2 in the bottom of the third following multiple errors and mental miscues.

Placer tied the score at 7-7 in the top of the sixth when Wood scored on a passed ball.

In the seventh, Colton Ranck (3 for 4) drove in the game-winning runs with his second double of the day.

Lucas Gray was 2 for 4 and Lane Bennet was 1 for 2 with two walks and two RBI for Placer, which tallied 13 hits against River City
